Where is Kids Hip Hop Music?

In its inception, kids hip hop music sub-culture was dark primarily because of rap music’s influence of violence in it. Teens, more than ever before, became more detached, unpredictable, and anarchic. The parents, schools, and even the government, were alarmed of the influence the music on kids that they took steps to control it.
The hard life of the urban jungle portrayed in rap music was a part of the kids hip hop music sub-culture and was experienced even by those kids who were not in that situation. The rappers in the mix had axes to grind, and the popularity of the music led the kids hip hop music cultural wave to emulate those issues as a way of expressing their own frustration with the world around them. It was easy to blame the society’s defects using music as your medium.

Today’s society still has a place for kids hip hop music, minus the negative association from the original version. The original fans grew up and most already have kids of their own now. Probably today, while many of them listen to recent hip hop music, their kids try their ears at what their parents used to listen to. This new kids hip hop music sub-culture has none of the earmarks of the past, because the stories of the streets are now a bigger part of our society’s past because the founding fathers and mothers of rap forced it to be, so the shock factor is now gone. Kids may mimic it, but not necessarily include the violence in it.

Gone is the criminal, the thug, the antisocial. In its place is the leader, the world builder, the entrepreneur, human rights advocate, lover of animals and the champions of love and relationships. Today’s kids hip hop music will advance and prosper and become more positive, because of the revival of poetry and art from its roots. Themed albums dedicated to the more positive lessons of life learned the hard way are taking precedence over just grabbing what you want, when you want. The music’s influence today can only benefit our children more than anything there is in this world’s society.

This is where the work of parent starts. instead of dictating what your kid should listen to, try and cultivate the art of making your kid discover the music and its melody. remember persuasion always works, while dictating always back fires.

Help your kid discover the beauty of music.
